Matthew Kibble Transport Ltd
Transport Description

Matthew Kibble International was Founded in January 1999 transporting goods to & from Europe. We soon decided to specialise in transporting goods to and from Italy. This remained an important part of our company until 2005.

We diversified in 2001 in to providing UK distribution services for other customers. By January 2005 the fleet had grown to seven artics. In July 2005 we aquired Prestons fuel & Haulage based in Earby Lancs. This doubled our size overnight and gave us access to a pallet network as a licensee.

At this time it was decided that the name Matthew Kibble International was no longer a name that fit the company. It was decided to change the name to Matthew Kibble Transport Limited.

Today we have over 300 customers from ebay sellers to blue chip companies . We offer full load, part load, overnight pallet services and warehousing to our customers. We offer full UK coverage from 1 pallet up to 26 pallets. By December 2005 the fleet stood at nineteen.

The next three years were spend building up the customer base and consolidating the fleet.

In January 2008 we moved to new premises at Junction Street, Colne. The new premises are purpose built with 22,000sq ft of high bay warehousing. Junction Street is more accesible for our fleet as we are 2 minutes from the end of the M65 at Colne.

In March Matthew won Pendle businessman of the year at the first ever awards. In June 2008 we took over JA Transport who specialized in transport for concerts and festivals, as well as touring with bands.

On the 2nd July Matthew Kibble Transport was named Haulier of the year at the Motor Transport Awards in London. The award is shared with Turners of Soham. Matthew was absolutley delighted with the award adding "this all makes it worthwile, to receive the industries top award is unreal".

During 2009 as the recession hit we managed to gain a small increase in turnover up 15% on 2008 and saw strong growth in to 2010. We invested strongly in our fleet through the recession as we felt this would make us stronger, and we added 8 new DAF 105XF's during 2009 and early 2010. The DAF trucks are Euro 5 which makes them the most enviromentaly friendly trucks on the road.

2010 has seen us grow the fleet which now stands at 27 trucks, we have also gained new customers and seen a move in to freight forwarding. We now have a dedicated customer services department and sales team which has helped us win new contracts with blue chip companies.
