Description
From our base at Balthane Industrial Estate, Ballasalla, we operate - 7.5 tonne to 300 tonne ridig and articulated tippers. Alloy insulated vehicles for tarmac and aggregates. Steel bodied vehicles for demolition materials rock and concrete. Roll on/off and conventional skip wagons with various skip sizes for rubbish disposal. Regular haulage is undertaken for most local quarries which includes the distribution of chippings imported by the coasters to various sites around the island in rediness for road dressing. This can be quite intensive work in order to get the ship back to sea as soon as possible. Cargo's vary between 600 and 1500 ton, reliability of vehicles on such contracts is essential. General haulage with arctic and rigid flats. Tractor units with various flat and step from trailers. 50 ton/mtr hiab cranes and 4 and 6 wheel rigids. 8 wheel rigids equiped with crane for delivering bricks/blocks. Heavy haulage and special transport service. JCK are noted for having this type of transport and have a large local customer base. Offering a general lowloader and machinery transport service and also catering for the needs of companies transporting loads to and from the UK mainland, working closely with many of the main machinery suppliers such as Volvo, Caterpillar and Liebherr etc. We can provide a comprehensive range of equipment for transporting plant, machinery and abnormal loads. This includes extendable and powersteered step frame and low bed trailers. We also transport smaller plant on rigid vehicles for amongst others, most of the national hire companies based on the island.
