Experts in motion since 1928 Collett & Sons have a wealth of experience transporting difficult and abnormal loads throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Our fleet of over 60 trucks and 120 specialist trailers and SPMTs operate across our three strategically placed depots in Halifax, and at the Port of Goole and the Port of Grangemouth, providing the ideal solution for your project’s requirements.

R. Collett & Sons (Transport) Ltd is a family owned Company, established in Halifax over 43 years ago. The Company specialises in three main areas of the Transport Industry namely:-

• General Haulage
• Heavy Transport
• Warehouse, Distribution & Handling.

The Company owns a modern fleet of over 40 vehicles and 70 Trailers which are fully maintained in-house on a purpose designed 5 acre site.
The day to day running of the transport operations is fully computerized, and all vehicles are fitted with GSM phones.
Employees of the Company have uniforms and are put through the in-house training program which focuses on LGV, Hazchem, Forklift truck and associated specialist operations.

Our expanding General Haulage fleet is operated from our purpose designed depot. We offer a wide range of transport and logistical solutions, including Groupage, Unit loads, Spot Hire, Express delivery and Contract hire.

Our fleet is diverse, the emphasis being placed on flexible, which we know can cope with our clients demands at short notice.

The fleet range from 1 Tonne through to 44 Tonne with added facilities such as tail lifts, lorry mounted cranes and extendable trailers, where the need is required.
