Haulage Details:Dear Sir/ Madam, I am representing a business that operates one of the former Radio 1 Roadshow trailers (www.stagehire.info) and we have been booked by the BBC East Midlands team to provide the roadshow trailer for the BBC for a series of events they have in and around the Nottingham area. Our local (to us) haulage contractor can do the long distance drop from our base to the first location and from the last location back to our base in North Devon but as this event is based across a 9 day period, I thought that it might be more cost effective to hire a local haulage contractor to do the following drops, to the following locations, at around the times as stated, on the days in question. Local haulage contract(s) 31 July - Collect the unit from Nottingham at 19.00hrs (outside Primark, Grid reference - SK573399, Postcode - NG1 2BY) and remove to either a secure compound or truck stop until 2nd August. 2 August - Collect the roadshow from the secure compound or truck stop and deliver the unit to Leicester (under Big Screen, Grid reference - SK589046, Postcode - LE1 3PH) to arrive onsite no later than 08.00hrs. (We'll of course RV with the unit onsite, Andrew from the BBC will be there too) 3 August - Collect the roadshow from the last location at Leicester at 18.00hrs and deliver the unit to the next location in Bakewell for the Bakewell Show 2010. (Stand A20, see attached map, Grid reference - SK223684, Postcode DE45 1AH) We will RV with the unit at the showsite and prepare for the following days event. 7 August - Collect the unit from the Bakewell Show Ground in time to deliver it to the next location at Edwinstow by 08.00hrs (Picnic area on west of B6034, Grid reference SK626673, Postcode NG21 9RN) I appreciate it will require a bit of logistical planning on your part but as you are specialists in the entertainment field, you did seem the first and most logical choice as we do need a reliable service and something that could meet the exacting need of our clients at the BBC. While the roadshow unit itself is old, its been substantially repaired and upgraded since its old Radio 1 days and apparently tows pretty well, the only consideration with this unit is that it has only one axle which is based almost at the back of the unit, which of course makes reversing a little more complex but not impossible. Pictures and videos of the unit are available on our website, which again is www.stagehire.info. I will look forward to receiving your quote as soon as you are able and be advised that we are looking to other local haulage companies too with the same quote. Thank you in anticipation of your kind assistance in respect of this one. I will look forward to hearing from you in due course. Regards, Phil Morgan Director - P & C Entertainment Limited Operations Manager - Stagehire, The X Radio 1 Roadshow
